What is Spatial Voice?

Spatial Voice allows the voices of other players, speaking via a headset or microphone, to be located spatially within a virtual environment, such as a 3D game. The in-game environment is accounted for, so, for example, players talking outside a window will be muffled until the window is opened, and a character's voice will grow softer as they walk away.

Sophisticated audio rendering allows bandwidth to be controlled, even in large crowd situations.

In addition, Spatial Voice offers all the capabilities standard with voice over IP systems popular with players, including channels, multiple codecs, and good voice quality.

Are you an online game developer? You can integrate Spatial Voice technology into your game to create more immersive virtual worlds.
